AJAX SurfaceBox White Surface Mounting Box for LightSwitch and Outlet

The SurfaceBox is a surface mounting box that holds one Ajax LightSwitch or Outlet device of the European (55) type. It gives a neat solution when you can’t embed a mounting box in the wall, such as on concrete, brick, wood or plasterboard. The shape lines up with the LightSwitch touch panel and Outlet cover, so the finished install looks tidy. SurfaceBox is only a mounting box, and the LightSwitch or Outlet device is sold separately.

Cables can be routed into the box from the back or the side, and there are several fixing points to mount it on any surface. It’s designed for indoor use only, and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
